An exciting opportunity is available for a Marketing Manager to join our team on a 12-month maternity leave contract. Based remotely or in our UK office, the successful candidate will become a key member of our dynamic Marketing Team, leveraging their project management and digital marketing expertise to support the company’s strategic goals. Working closely with the company Directors and our global Marketing Team, the Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring Sail Croatia remains at the forefront of the small‑ship cruising industry in Croatia, driving growth, engagement, and brand excellence.

The Marketing Manager position covers all aspects of marketing, from digital marketing, advertising, SEO, and strategy development, to product development, design, and content creation. With our diverse portfolio of travel experiences, you could be working across luxury travel, party experiences, active adventures, and sustainability initiatives all in a single day. While our UK Head Office provides a relaxed and flexible work environment, our international Marketing Team operates primarily online, with team members located across the UK, Croatia, and Australia. The successful candidate will have the chance to collaborate with a global team and have travel opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute direct marketing campaigns
  • Define overall brand strategy and oversee all marketing initiatives
  • Manage and lead the global marketing team
  • Oversee advertising budgets and report on campaign performance
  • Optimise advertising campaigns to improve ROI and sales
  • Track sales performance and refine marketing strategies
  • Supervise the creation and production of print media
  • Work with creative teams to develop marketing, advertising and sales content
  • Write copy for websites and all marketing collateral
  • Plan and implement white‑hat SEO initiatives
  • Maintain and update website content using the in‑house CMS
  • Ensure consistent brand positioning across all platforms in line with brand guidelines
  • Manage PR relationships to ensure timely distribution of marketing and product information
  • Liaise with media and coordinate press trips
  • Organise photographer and videographer schedules, including creative briefs, to ensure marketing initiatives can be fulfilled
  • Support Marketing Coordinators in social media and newsletter strategy and execution
Necessary Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in a managerial marketing role
  • Exceptional people skills, with a proven track record of managing teams in a global environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • High‑level organisation and time management skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • Exceptional creativity and innovation
  • An understanding of the media landscape and PR
  • A sound understanding of Google Analytics and data‑driven decision‑making
  • An understanding of the latest trends and their role within a commercial and fast‑paced environment
  • Proficiency with Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads
  • Proficiency with all major social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube)
  • Experience using SendGrid (or similar e‑newsletter platforms)
  • Proficiency using spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets)
  • A background in and passion for tourism and/or travel
  • A strong work ethic and proactive, innovative approach to all tasks

Salary will be based on relevant experience.

Job Type: Full Time
Fixed Term Contract: 12 months
Location: Egham, UK or Remote. Please note: remote candidates must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate both UK, HR and AU time zones. Candidates based in Europe and Western Australia are preferred.
