Job: Process Operative Job Description

We are currently recruiting for experienced Production Operatives to work at our site based in Livingston.

You must have previous experience working within a production/manufacturing environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities.

  • To work as part of a team producing high quality packaging in line with customer order specifications.
  • To comply and operate within the Health and Safety at Work regulations by maintaining own personal safety and that of other team members.
  • To contribute to the overall profitability of the site by minimising waste and machine downtime.
  • To maintain a high level of housekeeping within the plant to increase productivity and minimise accidents.
  • To participate in ongoing continuous improvement projects.
  • This role involves repetitive heavy lifting and moving, therefore a degree of physical fitness is required.
  • Quality checking products
  • Working within a very fast paced environment, so you must have the ability to adapt quickly.
  • Full training and safety PPE will be provided.

Previous Experience.

  • Previous experience of working within a fast-paced production environment, ideally in packaging, would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work a flexible shift pattern is essential – Dayshift/Backshift/Nightshift
  • Knowledgeable in basic computer skills.
  • Able to work to exact standards with good attention to detail.
  • Knowledgeable in methodologies to optimise efficiency.
  • Be fully flexible in their approach to the varied work requirements driven by customer demand.
  • Good standard of secondary education.
  • Hours of Work and Shift Patterns
  • 37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday on a 3-week shift rotation as follows:
  • Dayshift: Monday to Thursday 6.00am to 2.00pm, Friday 6.00am to 11.30am
  • Backshift: Monday to Thursday 2.00pm to 10.00pm, Friday 11.30am to 5.00pm
  • Nightshift: Monday to Thursday 10.00pm to 06.00am, Friday 5.00pm to 10.30pm
