We are seeking a Despatch Production Operator to support ongoing business growth and investment at our Lurgan plant. The role involves working within a flexible and collaborative team to ensure the smooth running of the manufacturing process while prioritising safety.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team and independently to produce high‑quality packaging in line with customer specifications.
  • Comply with Health & Safety at Work regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for self and colleagues.
  • Contribute to site profitability by minimising waste and reducing machine downtime.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping to support productivity and reduce accident risk.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Carry out quality checks on finished products.
  • Load and unload lorries safely and efficiently.
  • Manage and control warehouse inventory accurately.
  • Transfer materials (board) to production machines as required.
  • Receive finished pallets from production, ensuring correct strapping and labelling.
  • Generate and apply pallet labels for stock despatch.
  • Use computer systems for data entry, stock control and labelling.
  • Conduct monthly stock takes.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.

Essential Criteria

  • Valid, in‑date forklift licence/certificate.
  • At least one year’s experience in a comparable role.
  • Strong IT/computer skills and confidence using computer systems.

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous forklift experience in a despatch role within a manufacturing environment.

Working Hours

7:30am–4:30pm Monday to Thursday. 7:30am–12:30pm Friday.

Pay

Hourly Rate £13.81 per hour.
