An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Saica UKI Purchasing Graduate based at PM11, Carrington, Manchester. The role consists of deploying all activities of the Procurement department in order to optimise processes and help to identify any synergies among the companies' UK divisions: Paper, Pack, Natur and Flex.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the application of Procurement policies in investments, services, spare parts.
  • Manage relationship between IT and Procurement regarding improvements and implementation of processes.
  • Support the implementation of JANO Auxiliary Materials in Paper UK.
  • Promote & deploy internal procurement processes and the continuous improvements of such processes.
  • Coordinate specific projects between geographical plants, locations & business areas.
  • Support preparation of reports (e.g., Sustainability, Non-Financial, Quality Audits).
  • Identify synergies between plants & business areas to improve performance.
  • Conduct market analysis of main categories & suppliers building supplier profiles and supplier panel templates.

Candidate Specification:

  • Undergraduate technical degree or business administration (or other relevant discipline).
  • Experience in an industrial multinational company (1 year).
  • Resilient and capable of managing multiple priorities and strict deadlines.
  • High level of attention to detail and critical thinking ability.
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills – oral & written.
  • Able to work in multidisciplinary & cross-site teams.
  • High level user of Office applications.
  • SAP SRM experience (desirable).
  • Able to demonstrate continuous improvement.
  • Ability to travel across UKI where required.
