We are seeking a Mechanical Area Engineer to support the management and delivery of our mechanical maintenance function, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of site assets. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineering professional with strong mechanical and hydraulic knowledge who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about continuous improvement, reliability, and safety excellence.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and support the delivery of safe, compliant, and effective mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring maximum asset reliability, performance, and availability.
- Provide technical expertise across mechanical and hydraulic systems, including fault finding, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote a strong Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality culture, ensuring compliance with legislation, company standards, and best practice.
- Coordinate maintenance planning, shutdown activities, contractor management, spare parts requirements, and maintenance documentation through systems such as Maximo.
- Drive reliability improvements through Root Cause Analysis (RCA), predictive and preventative maintenance programmes, and asset lifecycle management.
- Lead, support, and develop maintenance technicians.
