This opportunity is within our Saica Flex division, which manufactures a range of flexible plastic films for leading food manufacturers and retailers. Based at our Wigan site, we produce high-quality printed packaging using advanced flexographic printing technology.

We are now recruiting for a highly organised and motivated Material Planner to join the Enniskillen team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual to play a key role in ensuring the effective planning and procurement of materials and services, supporting business operations while delivering outstanding quality, cost and service performance.

As a Materials Planner, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and procuring raw materials and services to meet business requirements.
  • Maintaining inventory levels and ensuring continuity of supply.
  • Forecasting material requirements in collaboration with Sales, Planning and Manufacturing teams.
  • Raising and managing purchase orders in line with procurement procedures.
  • Developing strong supplier relationships and negotiating pricing, quality and service agreements.
  • Monitoring supplier performance, lead times and market trends to support cost-effective purchasing decisions.
  • Maintaining accurate procurement, supplier and material data within business systems.
  • Supporting stock control activities, including cycle counts and stock takes.
  • Analysing procurement data and assisting with reporting, budgeting and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support customer quotations, new product development and wider business objectives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload to tight deadlines.
  • Numerically strong, with the ability to analyse and interpret large volumes of data.
  • Reliable, self-motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team.

It would be great if you had:

  • Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
