SAIC is seeking a DevSecOps / Platform Integration Engineer to join our team to support the Department of Air Force’s (DAF) Advanced Battle Management System’s (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure (DI), Digital Infrastructure Processing Node (DIPN) Product Line Team. ABMS is the Air Force’s latest effort to create a next-generation command and control (C2) system and is a top modernization priority for the DAF. ABMS will be the backbone of a network-centric approach to battle management in partnership with all the services across the Department of Defense. The broader effort known as the Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) is focused on rapid integration of capabilities and modernizing the decision-making processes for combat operations.
To accomplish the DAF’s mission, the government in partnership with the ABMS Consortium will develop a multiple DIPN Products to include the Deployable Digital Infrastructure (DDI) and Fixed Digital Infrastructure (FDI). The DIPN Product Line Team is comprised of industry leaders in systems engineering, digital engineering, model-based systems engineering, cyber security, integration & test and operations and sustainment working together in a collaborative environment to delivery critical capabilities to our warfighters.
Job Responsibilities to include:
- Provide technical leadership in applying DevSecOps concepts, processes and tools to help the government plan and define capabilities needed to better support mission operations (e.g., automation, situational awareness, etc.).
- Support digital engineering strategy and governance development and implementation roadmap planning across contractor and government teams.
- Analyze user needs, concept of operations, and high-level systems architectures to develop system requirements.
- Identify and communicate system engineering risks, issues, opportunities, assumptions, mitigations, and dependencies.
- Provide technical support to government points of contact.
- Effectively communicate and interface with engineers from various contractors and government organizations.
- Integrate a variety of familiar and unfamiliar technologies into orchestrated solutions.
- Analyze gaps in technology solutions and designs paths to close them.
- Follow directions provided by the team leaders in implementation and scope.
- Develop and follows installation, integration, and test procedures.
- Automate manual procedures.
- Document procedures in clear and unambiguous manner.
- Demonstrate work to a variety of audiences.
- Participate in and contribute to the team\’s Agile ceremonies, including daily scrum, Sprint and Program Increment planning, and retrospective meetings.
- Help teammates to achieve success in their tasking.
- Review work and provides actionable feedback to teammates.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 5 years of experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 1-3 years of experience with:
- IaC tools and frameworks Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible.
- Procedure automation using scripting technologies like Python, Linux shells, Windows PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform.
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and their services (e.g., compute, storage, networking), VPC, subnets, VPN, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Version control tools (e.g., Git).
- Container technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Performance monitoring, logging, and alerting (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Experience with the following tools:
- Kubernetes, Linux, AWS.
- Kubernetes Application deployments.
- CI/CD pipeline deployments.
- Ansible.
- AWS: EC2, S3, Elastic Load Balancer, Route53, Kubernetes administration, Kubernetes: EKS, AKS, OpenShift, Rancher.
- CI/CD Jenkins, Gitlab, AWS Pipeline.

Target salary range: $160,001 – $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
