We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate Home Care Assistant to join our domiciliary care team. This role involves providing person-centred care to clients in their own homes, supporting their daily living needs and enhancing their quality of life. You’ll be reliable, professional, and genuinely committed to delivering outstanding care.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Assisting with mobility and transfers.
- Administering medication as per individual care plans.
- Assisting with light housekeeping tasks.
- Accompanying clients to appointments and social activities.
- Monitoring and reporting changes in clients' health or well-being.
- Ensuring a safe and comfortable home environment for clients.
- Maintaining accurate care records and reporting any changes or concerns.
- Adhering to safeguarding, health & safety, and company policies.
- Building positive, trusting relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a domiciliary care setting in the UK (essential).
Skills & Qualities
- Fluent in spoken and written English (essential).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Caring, patient, and reliable with a positive attitude.
- Flexible and able to work independently.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
