We are looking for a detail-oriented, highly organised Logistics Coordinator to join our team. You will play a key role in managing the flow of goods from production to delivery, including planning and scheduling imports from around the world.

The role
You will coordinate the movement of goods nationally and internationally, arranging and scheduling transport, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery. You will also need a working knowledge of import/export documentation, including HS codes, taxes and bills of lading.
Key responsibilities
- Use transportation management systems to track and manage shipments
- Coordinate with suppliers, carriers and customers to keep logistics running smoothly
- Analyse and optimise supply chain processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipment status and delivery times
- Carry out quality control checks on shipments to ensure compliance with company standards
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve delivery or product quality issues
- Work with production, procurement and other departments to integrate logistics into the wider business
Experience
You will have experience in logistics, supply chain management or a related field, with a strong understanding of logistics operations including shipping and receiving, and familiarity with transportation management systems. Experience with 3PL providers and transport companies is beneficial. You will communicate well and work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

- Knowledge of UK and worldwide transport and logistics, including imports
- Experience from supplier order initiation through to delivery on site, including procurement of goods
- Purchase planning
- Negotiation skills with suppliers
- Excellent communication skills and good phone etiquette
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Accurate, efficient typing and a good level of MS Office skills
- Supply chain environment experience preferred
