We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Corporate Procurement Manager to develop and lead the delivery of our procurement strategy and ensure that every pound spent delivers maximum value for our customers, colleagues and communities. This is an exciting opportunity for a procurement professional who combines strong technical expertise with a collaborative and customer-focused approach. You will play a key role in supporting the organisation's strategic objectives by ensuring compliant, efficient and value-driven procurement activity across a diverse range of goods, services and contracts.

Working closely with budget holders, operational teams and suppliers, you will drive best practice procurement, strengthen contract management arrangements and promote a culture of accountability, transparency and continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop, implement and continuously improve the organisation's procurement strategy.
  • Lead procurement exercises from planning through to contract award, ensuring compliance with legislation and organisational policies.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on procurement regulations, governance and best practice.
  • Support the delivery of social value objectives through procurement activities.
  • Partner with colleagues across the organisation to understand business needs and develop procurement solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to achieve efficiencies, reduce costs and improve service quality.

What you'll bring:

  • Significant experience of managing procurement activity in a complex organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of housing, public sector or regulated procurement requirements, specifically the Procurement Act 2023.
  • Ability to interpret and apply procurement legislation and governance requirements.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Working Arrangements:

This is a hybrid or home working role, dependent on location. Travel to London and Bolton offices and schemes across the country will be required occasionally.
