A London based prestigious architectural practice specialised in both high density and low density, mixed use led residential developments; urban regeneration including sustainable urban extensions; city-scale masterplans; and brand new settlements are seeking a Sr Urban Designer to join their team.
Candidate must have around 8 years of experience with a background in architecture and urban design ideally in the UK. The position requires strong leadership skills as the candidate will not just work closely with senior management on a range of projects but will also oversee internal teams.
- Leading Project Teams: Candidate must be able to supervise and mentor team members including junior members of the project.
- Client Management: Currently must be in a client facing/public engagement role to be able to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, managing expectations, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Project Management: Must efficiently oversee the development and execution of projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Design Development: Must have a solid understanding of urban design principles, planning regulations, and building codes. Must be able to develop and refine design ideas, create outline and detailed planning applications, create masterplans all the way to individual plot layouts. Must be a proficient user of REVIT and have strong sketching ability.
- Communication and Presentation: Preparing reports, presentations, and other design materials for clients, stakeholders, and the public.
- Regulatory Compliance: Understanding and ensuring compliance with relevant planning regulations and design guidelines.
