Location: Epsom

Opportunity: We’re looking for a dynamic individual to join our Cooking Instructions Team part-time on a permanent basis. The role is 22.5 hours, 3 full days a week. Full training will be given; this role is ideal for those starting in the food industry, experienced food professionals interested in a new sector, or those returning to work.

A day in the life of Cooking Instructions: Your day begins with equipment checks for UKAS accreditation, then conduct tests, create or validate cooking instructions. Post-cooking you assess product quality and sensory attributes. Each project concludes with a report and quality checks. Teamwork is key and the day wraps with comprehensive clean-up. Regular meetings and company updates are part of the routine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Delivery: Conduct routine tests, record results, and deliver high-quality work within deadlines. Assist in efficient organisation of cooking instructions work and stay updated on relevant trends.
  • Team Interaction: Provide excellent customer service, build effective relationships, showcase professional standards, and adapt flexibly to tasks.
  • Policy Adherence: Maintain client confidentiality, ensure safety at work, follow company rules, and adhere to project management practices.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

Essential:

  • Computer literacy: Proficiency in using a PC.
  • Positive attitude: Passion for cooking.
  • Team player: Motivating & cooperative.
  • Organisational skills & multitasking: Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Analytical skills: Ability to analyse and evaluate final results/quality with high attention to detail.

Desired:

  • Food related qualification: Beneficial but not essential.
  • Food preparation skills: Experience advantageous.
  • Industry experience: Practical experience in food or catering industry beneficial.
