At Sage, we knock down barriers so everyone can thrive. As a Senior Marketing Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and accelerating the growth of Sage People, our multinational HR and Payroll solution. You’ll own campaign strategy and execution, modernising our go‑to‑market approach and blending high‑performing inbound marketing with targeted outbound ABX.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across Marketing, Sales and Product, you’ll turn insight, data and AI‑powered tools into measurable commercial impact. This is a hands‑on role in a small, high‑impact team where you’ll have the autonomy to experiment, learn and deliver real results at pace.
Overview of the team
You’ll join a small but mighty marketing team within a recently formed Business Unit, focused on driving growth for Sage People. You’ll own both the execution and the outcome, supported by Sage’s wider corporate marketing organisation, with access to advanced AI capabilities, shared services and centres of excellence. Personal accountability and collaboration are at the heart of how we work across teams to deliver integrated, revenue‑focused campaigns that position Sage People clearly and competitively in the market to drive growth.
Hybrid Working - 3 days per week in our Winnersh office and 2 days from home.
Summary of your day to day
In this role, you’ll balance strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery, owning initiatives end to end and working closely with partners across the business. You’ll spend your time:
- Developing and evolving go‑to‑market strategies for a B2B SaaS product, including market segmentation, campaign level ICP targeting and value proposition articulation.
- Driving revenue impact by influencing pipeline creation, deal velocity and ARR growth through modern marketing approaches.
- Modernising GTM motions by blending inbound demand generation with targeted outbound ABX/ABM strategies.
- Leading integrated campaign strategy from planning through execution and optimisation across digital, content, events, partners and sales‑led motions.
- Working closely with Product Marketing to translate product innovation and AI‑led capabilities into compelling commercial narratives.
- Using data, insight and performance analytics to guide prioritisation, investment decisions and optimisation, clearly demonstrating marketing impact.
- Leveraging Salesforce marketing automation, CRM and analytics to understand attribution, funnel performance and pipeline contribution.
- Expanding our use of AI through continuous experimentation to scale insight, personalisation, content effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Collaborating across a complex, matrixed organisation, influencing without authority and maintaining momentum across multiple stakeholders.
- Operating with a hands‑on, roll‑up‑your‑sleeves mindset, balancing multiple priorities in a fast‑moving and evolving business unit.
- Communicating clearly and persuasively, simplifying complex ideas and confidently presenting recommendations and results to senior stakeholders.
What we are looking for
We’re looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with a strong bias for action. You’ll bring experience of executing campaigns in complex, matrixed organisations but enjoy the personal accountability that goes with real ownership. You’ll bring:
- A revenue‑oriented mindset, with the ability to influence pipeline creation, deal velocity and ARR growth.
- Proven experience delivering integrated, multi‑channel campaigns across digital, content, events, partners and sales‑led motions.
- Strong data and insight capabilities, with experience using marketing automation, CRM and analytics to guide decisions and demonstrate impact.
- Curiosity and practical experience experimenting with AI in marketing to improve insight, personalisation and efficiency.
- Confidence influencing senior stakeholders and working cross‑functionally without direct authority.
- A hands‑on, delivery‑focused approach, comfortable operating in evolving or newly formed teams.
Benefits
- Generous bonuses and pension scheme: Up to 8% matched pension contribution plus 2% top‑up by Sage.
- 25 days of paid annual leave with the option to buy up to another 5 days.
- 8 bank holiday days.
