The job purpose of a Product Business Analyst is to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. They play a crucial role in understanding and analyzing business requirements, translating them into actionable insights, and ensuring that the product development aligns with the overall business objectives. Their primary goal is to facilitate the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs and drive business growth. This involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including development teams, product managers, and subject matter experts, to ensure that the product vision is effectively communicated and implemented.

This is a hybrid position - working 3 days a week from our Winnersh office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Domain Knowledge: Knowledge of the product, the business area or an area of legislation.
  • Requirement Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements. Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clear communication and understanding.
  • Solution Design: Translate business needs into functional specifications and design solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Data Analysis and Improvements: Analyze data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for product or process improvements. Evaluate product performance and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Project Management Support: Assist in project planning, tracking, and reporting to ensure timely delivery of product features. Work with scrum teams to ensure that deliverables meet business requirements.
  • Quality in New Development and Maintenance: Provide clear vision of deliveries making sure that the deliveries meet business needs and take into account customers' needs. Manage content delivered per release from the start to the end (step by step delivery until final delivery) and clarify limitations. Contribute to maintenance with the support team.
  • User Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users to ensure successful adoption of new products and features. Back up of the Product Owner; the PBA can take over the PO in case he/she is off or not available.
Skills, Know-How and Experience
  • Must Have: Business Analysis ability to elicit, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders. Skilled in translating business needs into functional specifications.
  • Product Lifecycle Understanding: Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other product development methodologies. Experience working across the full product lifecycle - from ideation to delivery.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with cross-functional teams. Ability to manage expectations and align business goals with technical feasibility.
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing data to support decision-making (e.g., Excel, SQL, BI tools). Ability to create dashboards and reports that convey insights clearly.
  • Process Mapping: Experience in modeling business processes and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Documentation: Skilled in writing user stories, use cases, and functional specifications. Clear and concise documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to break down complex problems and propose actionable solutions. Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Must-Have: Fluent in Polish. Knowledge of Polish legislation. Bachelor's Degree in one of the following fields: Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics or Mathematics. Strong foundation in data analysis and business operations through coursework or practical experience.
  • Preferred/Nice-to-Have: Master's Degree (e.g., MBA) for senior or strategic roles. Courses or certifications in: Financial modeling, UX/UI principles, Agile methodologies, Data science or analytics.
