Responsibility for the successful operations of the Sustainability & Foundation team, focused on the execution of an operational plan supporting team and business success. This role is crucial to the continuous success and effective functioning of the Sustainability & Foundation team by shaping and executing operational strategies that support the team to go faster. Reporting to the EVP, you will be a key member of the Sustainability and Foundation team - ensuring operational excellence, championing improvements in processes, and cultivating a culture rooted in high performance and accountability. Your main focus will be on defining and upholding best operational practices, advancing AI-driven efficiencies across all facets of the team's work while supporting the team's objectives. While experience in sustainability or foundations is advantageous, strong skills in operations leadership and business management, paired with enthusiasm for our mission, are especially valued. This role will work in the office 3 days a week and 2 from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support EVP by ensuring preparedness for meetings through timely briefings, presentation deck support and data insights.
  • Creation and running of team operational plan, including corporate governance scheduling.
  • Drive AI adoption across the team, creating an experimental and effective culture.
  • Support EVP & leadership team with organisational effectiveness.
  • Supporting effective flow of Leadership team governance, meetings and communications - including preparation, scheduling, successful and efficient meetings and actions which are tracked and completed.
  • Facilitate decision making & ensure team accountabilities are clear, tracked and delivered.
  • Proactively gather data & insight to inform planning & decision making.
  • Ensure optimal operational alignment with the wider function, Brand & Corporate affairs.
  • Identify best practice ways of working for the team, learning from cross functional colleagues and being primary interface for these functions into the team (e.g finance, people, legal, compliance teams).
  • Lead on ad-hoc short-term projects or urgent requirements.
  • Support the leadership team to drive Sage's values and cultures within the team and drive eSAT.
  • Lead on team budget, ensuring timely planning and delivery to budget.
