As part of the Talent Centre of Excellence within the People function, the Senior Talent Manager plays a key role in shaping Sage's talent agenda. You'll help ensure the right talent is ready for the right opportunities by driving succession planning, talent development, and strategic talent initiatives that support business growth.
At Sage we have a hybrid working pattern - candidates must be able to work in the London office 3 days a week and 2 from home.
What you'll do
- Lead key areas of Sage's talent and succession management programmes, driving evidence-based talent decisions and outcomes.
- Partner with People Business Partners and business leaders to strengthen talent reviews, succession pipelines, and development planning.
- Use talent data and insights to identify risks, inform decisions, and deliver actionable recommendations.
- Drive the activation of development plans through coaching, mentoring, assessments, targeted development, and talent mobility opportunities.
- Act as a trusted talent advisor, influencing stakeholders and providing expert guidance on talent strategy and development.
- Lead talent projects from design through to implementation, ensuring successful adoption and measurable impact.
- Continuously improve talent frameworks, tools, and processes by combining internal insight with external best practice.
- Leverage data, analytics, and AI to improve talent decision-making, reporting, and organisational capability.
What we're looking for
- Significant experience in talent management, succession planning, talent development, and talent review processes within a large global organisation.
- Proven ability to design and deliver talent strategies and initiatives that drive business outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, challenge, and advise senior leaders.
- Experience leading complex projects and implementing global talent programmes.
- Strong analytical capability, using data and insights to drive decisions and measure impact.
- Confidence using AI and technology to enhance talent practices and operational effectiveness.
- Commercial awareness, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, delivery-focused approach.
