  • Able to manage and mentor a team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Experienced working as a Product Manager within a software development organization to deliver software applications and/or data solutions with demonstrable business impact.
  • Able to demonstrate experience producing multi‑product, multi‑year roadmaps, driving strategic product initiatives, and successfully delivering on large‑scale technology projects or programs.
  • Experienced working with and/or driving the development of enterprise applications (e.g. ERP, CRM, ecommerce, work management software) and/or data and analytics tools (data visualization, data platforms, data warehousing).
  • Deep understanding of current trends and technologies in these areas.
  • Able to understand current technology trends and modern product development practice.
  • Experienced with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to effectively translate between technical and non‑technical audiences and drive decisions across multiple teams.
  • Able to demonstrate experience managing stakeholders at a senior leadership or executive level, both within and outside of a Technology organization.
  • Strong in financial skills to optimize resource allocation, balance growth with sustainability, and contribute to broader financial strategy in the Technology organization.
  • Advanced education in Product Management, Product Ownership, and/or Agile frameworks, such as Certified Scrum Product Owner or Certified Scrum Master.

Your New Role

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Product Owners and Product Managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within and across teams.
  • Take responsibility for team resource planning, workload balancing, and prioritization to ensure effective delivery of product initiatives.
  • Play an active leadership role within the Product Management department by owning critical initiatives and key results and driving improvements to departmental processes.
  • Define and clearly articulate a vision and strategy for a product portfolio, using it to align delivery across teams, enable long‑term business outcomes, and influence enterprise‑level strategy.
  • Develop and maintain complex roadmaps across multiple products or a suite of products.
  • Balance short‑term delivery with long‑term vision and communicate trade‑offs and strategic shifts effectively.
  • Lead on large, complex initiatives which span across multiple delivery teams and involve multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, quality assurance, delivery management, infrastructure, and architecture to ensure product development is achieving the desired vision, strategy, and business goals.
  • Engage business stakeholders and leadership to shape organizational priorities, secure investment, and align product strategy with enterprise goals.
  • Act as an escalation and conflict resolution point for collaborators and senior leaders within the business unit and technology.
  • Define success metrics and objectives at the product portfolio level.
  • Advocate for Agile methodologies within and outside of Technology and across product lines, influencing key team members to embrace Agile principles that drive value and enhance delivery.
  • Proactively identify long‑term risks and potential future threats, adjusting long‑term planning, forecasting, and roadmap initiatives to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity.
  • Translate high‑level business strategies into compelling cases for technology investment, balancing anticipated business outcomes with projected total cost of ownership.
  • Play an active role in the Sage product management community by leading central initiatives across teams, providing peer mentorship, and introducing new ideas and techniques to drive the product management practice forward.
  • Lead and coordinate change initiatives that span departments, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
  • Engage collaborators across all levels to manage resistance, drive adoption, and secure broad organizational support for key product initiatives.
