Job Details: Senior Analyst – Strategic Accounting

This role provides strategic value to senior stakeholders by delivering insightful financial analysis to inform key business decisions. Primary areas of responsibility include cash flow reporting and forecasting, as well as working capital management, with additional support for high-profile projects such as finance strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and valuation analysis.

The Senior Analyst will work in close partnership with FP&A and Commercial Finance colleagues, ensuring seamless reporting and forecasting alignment. Given the broad scope of this role, it offers significant exposure to multiple finance functions across Sage, fostering collaboration with regional finance teams and group-level stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

This role is all about managing cash flow reporting, forecasting, and working capital while driving efficiency in financial systems. You’ll work closely with regional finance teams, FP&A, and senior stakeholders to ensure accurate financial insights and continuous improvements in forecasting and reporting.

What I Will Be Doing

  1. Lead the monthly cash flow review, analyse variances, and provide insightful reporting.
  2. Drive best practices in working capital management, particularly around Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
  3. Collaborate on financial system enhancements, driving automation and efficiency.
  4. Support strategic projects, including M&A, financial modelling, and liaising with tax, treasury, and accounting specialists.
