Job Description
The Payments/Fintech Business Consultant will drive and lead the fostering, nurturing, growth, and development with our largest and most strategic Financial Technology (Fintech) Partners. As a Senior Partner Account Manager, you will establish and maintain C-level, sales, and product relationships with these Fintech Strategic Partners, working with them to drive new significant revenue through customer acquisition into the SMB Market globally (NA, UKI, EU, ZA). You will be responsible for developing activities to identify, develop, and manage strategic Fintech partnerships to realize key objectives, address unmet market needs, and create significant new revenue streams. You will identify and deliver the vision, strategy, commercial arrangements, contractual agreements, and partners for a best-in-class partner relationship framework to support a growing ecosystem of Strategic Fintech Partnerships integrated into Sage\’s core software offerings. You will lead research activities to identify opportunities, conduct due diligence, and develop strategic plans. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving revenue within the fintech industry. This role is hybrid, requiring 3 days in the office per week.
Responsibilities include supporting and developing the wider Fintech Partnership Strategy, securing commercial relationships with Fintech ISVs, implementing partner integrations, and achieving revenue targets of £8-10m in payments revenues and customer acquisition goals. You will stay informed of market trends, contribute to strategic planning, negotiate agreements, and manage ongoing relationships with partners to ensure performance aligns with contractual terms and revenue targets.
Skills and experience required:
- Undergraduate degree or 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in consulting, revenue growth, or operational transformation
- Proven ability to develop strategies that drive revenue
- Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking
- Knowledge of sales, marketing, and customer lifecycle management
- Project management and excellent communication skills
- Problem-solving abilities
