We are currently seeking a Programme Manager to work within the Cloud Native Product Portfolio for the Small Business & Accountants segment, covering UK, Ireland, South Africa, and Canada. This role will oversee end-to-end product lifecycles, from initial concept through to launch, ensuring alignment with the organisational vision and strategy.
As a Programme Manager at Sage, you will work with global teams, establish a deep understanding of portfolio requirements, and drive operational excellence through the implementation of world-class processes. You will identify dependencies between programmes and workstreams, using best practice frameworks to deliver efficiencies. You will also lead and manage a team of Project Managers, ensuring successful delivery across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Manage one or more programmes comprising multiple products and deliverables.
- Collaborate with other Programme Managers to ensure alignment across all plans and portfolios.
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of Project Managers, providing guidance, clarifying dependencies, removing blockers, and maintaining oversight across all project areas.
- Develop strong relationships to embed yourself in the product delivery process across international markets.
- Analyse project retrospectives and delivery trends by engaging with different product workstreams.
- Ensure programmes support the needs of small businesses and accountants across the assigned regions.
- Demonstrated experience with the Software Delivery Lifecycle and end-to-end product launch processes, including a strong technical understanding.
- Background working in Agile environments.
- Proven experience managing and developing Project Managers, with the ability to operate at programme and portfolio level.
- Ability to collaborate with global teams to develop accurate and realistic delivery schedules, including go-to-market launch dates.
- Experience working with accounting products is a plus.
