Summary of role

The Director, Corporate Communications is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering Sage’s integrated corporate and reputation communications strategy. Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, senior business leaders and Brand & Corporate Affairs, you’ll build confidence in Sage’s strategy, leadership and performance across colleagues, media, investors and other influential stakeholders. What I will be doing

You’ll shape Sage’s integrated corporate narrative, helping colleagues and external stakeholders understand where Sage is going, why it matters and the progress being made. Acting as a trusted adviser to senior leaders, you’ll provide strategic counsel around significant business decisions, and high‑profile moments, bringing together colleague sentiment, media and reputation intelligence, investor perspectives and wider stakeholder insight to identify risks and opportunities early.

You’ll lead proactive corporate and financial communications that strengthen Sage’s reputation, while providing senior counsel on issues and crisis communications when required. Working across Brand & Corporate Affairs, People, Finance, Investor Relations, Legal and Strategy, you’ll create integrated approaches around Sage’s most important corporate moments.

You’ll also lead and develop a multidisciplinary team spanning corporate, financial, colleague communications, setting high standards for strategic thinking, judgement, creativity and execution. What we are looking for

We’re looking for an experienced communications leader with significant experience across corporate, colleague, reputation, or integrated communications within a large and complex organisation. You’ll be confident operating at executive level, with the credibility and judgement to advise senior leaders on complex, sensitive and high‑profile business issues and constructively challenge where appropriate.

You’ll combine strong business understanding with excellent communications and storytelling skills, translating complex strategy and performance into clear, credible narratives for different stakeholder groups. Strong leadership experience is essential, including leading high‑performing teams and bringing different communications disciplines together around shared outcomes. Experience within a global, matrixed or listed organisation, particularly involving major financial or corporate communications, would be highly valuable.
