You’ll be joining Sage’s global Financial Compliance team – a collaborative group of accounting, tax, audit, and reporting specialists who safeguard Sage's financial integrity across multiple international jurisdictions.
The team partners closely with colleagues in Group Finance, Tax, Internal Audit, Technology, and external advisers to ensure Sage controls, reporting, and compliance frameworks remain robust, forward‑looking, and aligned with global regulatory requirements.
It’s a small team that thrives on curiosity, precision, and continuous improvement and plays a critical role in enabling confident, well‑informed decision‑making across Sage's Business.
Could you be our new Senior Financial Accountant?
- A qualified ACA or ACCA accountant possessing strong technical grounding and confidence working in complex environments.
- Technically strong, with a proven ability to navigate regulations and handle US and UK GAAP reporting, who has preferably gained experience working in a multinational organisations.
- A clear and adaptable communicator, able to translate complex accounting concepts for audiences with varying levels of expertise.

Your new role
The Senior Financial Accountant, Compliance strengthens Sage's financial control environment and ensures we meet our global statutory, tax, and regulatory obligations.
You'll provide technical accounting expertise, lead compliance activities across multiple regions, and play a key role in Finance transformation, including our new ERP implementation.
This is a role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, shaping better processes, and acting as a trusted partner to teams across the business.
- Strengthen financial controls by leading targeted internal audit reviews, assess risk, and translate findings into practical, scalable improvements.
- Provide technical accounting guidance by advising on complex or ambiguous accounting issues, ensuring decisions align with UK GAAP, US GAAP, and evolving regulations.
- Deliver statutory and regulatory reporting by managing statutory audits, coordinate with external auditors, and ensure timely filing of accounts, tax returns, VAT/sales tax, PSA, and Companies House updates.
- Enhance reporting accuracy by reviewing internal and external reports, validate accounting journals postings, and ensure balance sheet reconciliations are complete and accurate.
- Support strategic transactions by contributing to financial due diligence for acquisitions and disposals across international regions.
- Help to maintain global transfer pricing compliance and support documentation, policy updates, and alignment across Sage Group.
- Drive Finance transformation by finding opportunities for ongoing improvement and embed more efficient, technology‑enabled ways of working.
- Support ERP implementation by documenting current processes, map controls, and participate in UAT to ensure compliance and reporting needs are met.
