Learning Experience Technologist – 12 Month Contract
Sage, Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, United Kingdom
This role is hybrid: based in the office 3 days a week and 2 from home. It is a 12 month fixed term contract.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update course catalogue, notifications, training profiles, and assessments and ensure accuracy and completeness of data submitted to the system.
- Learning communications triggered through technology.
- Design and manage the LMS webpages and associated logic/algorithms.
- Implementation of learning solutions ensuring quality and seamless learning experience.
- Experimentation and design of learning in the flow of work incorporating AI approaches to improve the end-to-end learning experience.
- Advisory in the continuous improvement of the LMS, and suite of learning platforms to ensure a user experience that inspires a continuous learning culture and supports our learning academies.
- Proactively advise on potential learning technology vendors.
- Champions Self-Service and promotes new strategies across Tier 0 to improve the customer experience.
- Monitor, research, and test system and courses to ensure reliability/availability based on quality expectations. Escalate any problems, usage trends and generate reports as requested.
- Obtain a deep understanding of all components, features, and functions of the LMS advising Digital Services, L&D or IT.
- Recommends innovative technologies to support the colleague experience.
- Checks for accessibility guidelines for solutions and services are adhered to. Escalates as required.
- Advises relating to security roles and data management required for learning technologies.
Skills, knowledge, and experience
- Be comfortable working independently with LMS for content implementation and design application.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written and strong skills in Microsoft Office Applications
- Strong ability to multitask and excellent customer service skills
- Web design / HTML experience including CMS (Content Management System) knowledge—specifically administration including HTML, CSS, and jQuery
- Skills associated with a graphic designer/developer—for image editing (re-touching, re-sizing, manipulation) and writing/editing code.
- Experience managing end to end learning experiences and content with a variety of content sources/platforms.
