Overview

Job Description
Sage’s purpose is to help everyone thrive. For our customers to thrive, Sage needs value delivery growth. The RTR function works to ensure that we generate sustainable growth by identifying and implementing strategies that increase the revenue we earn from our technology and services by optimising the way we bring our solutions to market. In other words, Routes to Revenue is all about translating our Global Product Organization\’s product strategy into Go-To-Market (GTM) execution.
The Performance and Planning team feeds into this, by driving the annual GTM revenue planning cycle in coordination with Regions, Finance and the Business Units, which aligns the targets and budgets for all GTM Plans (GTM P). It also provides critical performance analytics to support decision making and execution of GTM-P throughout the year and manages sales compensation programmes that support those plans. Critically, this team is accountable for formalising and evolving the Revenue Architecture (LTV/CAC and unit economics) that guides how we design commercial models and GTM execution to achieve our ambitions.

Kickstart your career in data and strategy with Sage!

We’re looking for a motivated and curious Graduate Business Analyst to join our growing Global Routes to Revenue (RTR) Performance and Planning team. This team plays a key role in shaping how we go to market, designing commercial models, planning revenue, and building the analytics that help us measure success.

As part of this team, you’ll work closely with the Director of GTM Performance & Analytics and gain hands-on experience building a full GTM analytics suite (starting with Sage Intacct). You’ll help uncover insights that influence real business decisions.

What you’ll get to do

  • Collaborate across teams to support projects that improve how we sell and grow.
  • Learn how to analyse and interpret large datasets to spot trends and opportunities.
  • Help turn complex data into clear, visual dashboards using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Get involved in building and testing new commercial models and performance metrics.
  • Contribute to the development of global GTM analytics dashboards (starting with Sage Intacct), helping to visualize key marketing, operational, and financial metrics using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Support the Data Product Manager – GTM Analytics in maintaining and evolving KPIs that track the performance of strategic initiatives across Sage’s Business Units.
  • Collaborate with regional teams and stakeholders to gather data, build reports, and deliver insights that support decision-making.
  • Present findings and insights clearly and confidently, with guidance, to internal teams and occasionally to senior stakeholders.
  • Assist in designing analytical frameworks for ad-hoc projects that explore new commercial models and go-to-market strategies.
  • Investigate business challenges using data, helping to identify root causes and support recommendations for improvement.
  • Build strong working relationships across departments, learning how different functions contribute to Sage’s commercial success.
  • Work as part of an inclusive, supportive team, where learning is encouraged and contributions are recognized.

What are we looking for?

You’ll need to be a recent graduate, ideally in Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. We’re open to different backgrounds, but the following skills will help you thrive:

  • A genuine interest in data, business strategy, and how companies operate and grow, with a developing understanding of financial and commercial concepts.
  • Some experience (academic or internship) with analytical or BI tools is a plus—but we’ll support your learning every step of the way.
  • A basic understanding or hands-on experience with analytical tools such as Excel (including PivotTables), Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or similar—through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving aptitude with the ability to demonstrate strong initiative and manage multiple deadlines.
  • A collaborative team player who’s also comfortable taking initiative and managing tasks independently when needed.
  • A strong desire to learn, grow, and develop new skills—especially in data, analytics, and commercial strategy.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and persuasion skills with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where curiosity and creativity are valued.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Some exposure to accounting principles, either through academic study or practical experience.

This role is based at our London Bridge or Newcastle office and follows a hybrid working model, with three days per week spent in the office.

What you can expect from the process

  • Apply online with a resume
  • Complete screening and video interview (You will receive a link to complete a video interview after applying)
