About our Team: You’ll be joining our Research Marketing team - a collaborative, data-driven team dedicated to strengthening how researchers discover, engage with, and advance their work through our publishing programs. We combine strategic insight with hands-on execution to design meaningful customer journeys that support authors, reviewers, and institutional partners at every stage of their relationship with us.
Your new role: You will develop, lead, and analyse end-to-end email marketing campaigns. Your role includes collaborating with stakeholders to develop personalized, data-driven campaigns that improve the customer journey and achieve department goals.
Responsibilities include:
- Building thoughtful, customer centred email campaigns by collaborating with the wider Marketing team to drive submissions, usage, and awareness across key titles.
- Leading end-to-end campaign delivery, bringing care and precision to scheduling, copywriting, audience segmentation, proofreading, editing, deployment, performance analysis and reporting.
- Building both bespoke and complex email campaigns using dynamic, personalized content in a marketing automation platform.
- Writing strong copy tailored to customer lifecycles and journal goals, generating engagement and conversions.
- Developing effective audience segmentation strategies grounded in customer personas and behaviours, helping each journal meet its objectives with clarity and intention.
- Turning insights into action, analysing campaign performance and recommending data-driven improvements to increase open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
- Championing continuous improvement by contributing to testing strategies, running experiments, and sharing findings that strengthen our wider marketing approach.
- Staying curious about the market, monitoring competitor activity, and offering thoughtful recommendations that support team and departmental goals.
