- Experienced in royalties’ administration, with a strong understanding of how royalty cycles and contractual payments work.
- Able to interpret and understand a range of contract types, ensuring payments align with contractual terms.
- Comfortable with core accounting concepts, including journal entries, reconciliations, provisions, and accruals.
- Someone with outstanding attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across payments, data, and documentation.
- Highly organised, able to prioritise effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- A strong communicator, confident working with internal and external collaborators.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with experience using PowerBI to support reporting and analysis.

Your new role: As a Royalties Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely payment of all contractual advances, royalties, stipends, and ad hoc payments. You will verify data, maintain high‑quality records, and support the smooth running of our global royalty cycles. You will also contribute to the successful migration toward a new royalties' system, helping to develop future processes and standards.
- Coordinate and manage royalty and stipend payments, ensuring accuracy against contractual documentation and delivering payments on time.
- Coordinate with Editorial, contracted partners, and third‑party suppliers to confirm data completeness and address discrepancies.
- Calculate and post month‑end journals for royalty accruals and advances to support accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain and update schedules, trackers, and dashboards to provide reliable, real‑time data to Finance and Editorial teams.
- Respond to senior management queries with clear, accurate information and well‑supported data insights.
- Prioritise and manage a varied workload, meeting contractual deadlines and adapting to changing priorities.
- Assist in the successful transfer of royalties to a new system, growing into a confident user able to aid others.
- Perform user acceptance testing and develop methods to ensure ongoing data accuracy and integrity.
