About our Team
This role sits at the heart of our Global Sales & Marketing function, a team that champions our authors, partners, and customers across the academic publishing landscape, ensuring our research, learning solutions, and digital products reach the communities who rely on them. By nurturing connection, communication, and continuous learning, we foster a vibrant, inclusive environment where people feel valued, supported, and empowered to perform at their best.
Your new role
You will support four senior leaders across our Global Sales & Marketing teams, each with distinct working patterns, time zones, and priorities. Your work will directly enable them to deliver strategic, operational, and commercial objectives.
- Optimise leaders’ time and focus by managing complex diaries across UK and US time zones, coordinating international travel and visas, and ensuring meetings are purposeful with clear agendas, materials, and follow up actions.
- Drive operational efficiency through proactive management of expenses, invoices, and POs, and by improving administrative systems, introducing smarter workflows, and finding opportunities for automation.
- Advance strategic and change initiatives by tracking actions, monitoring progress, and ensuring momentum toward key departmental goals.
- Strengthen team culture and engagement by planning and delivering internal events (team meetings, connection days, volunteer activities, socials) and supporting select external events such as author webinars and library engagements.
- Build a connected global community by managing the Marketing blog on Viva Engage, encouraging contributions, sharing updates, and creating visual content that showcases our culture and achievements.
- Improve information flow by enhancing how documentation, resources, and knowledge are stored and shared across the global Marketing department.
- Cultivate strong working relationships across the business, engaging and collaborating to support seamless communication and alignment.
