About our Team:

The Global Peer Review team, within Journals Editorial, ensures our journals follow robust peer review processes by supporting journals and editors and maintaining high standards of research integrity. We work closely with various departments and external partners globally.

Could you be our new Editorial Assistant (Online Peer Review) ?

  • Do you have strong customer support experience?
  • Are you interested in academic publishing and aware of industry challenges and opportunities?
  • Can you quickly understand complex information and provide solutions?
  • Are you detail-oriented and accurate?
  • Are you confident in your communication skills, able to manage relationships internally and externally?
  • Can you work well under pressure and show initiative?
  • Do you have experience with online systems such as peer-review platforms? (Training provided if not)
  • Are you comfortable with IT systems, databases, and Microsoft tools?

Your new role:

  • Assist the Peer-Review Systems Manager with the rollout of ScholarOne Manuscripts and other platforms for a set number of journals annually.
  • Support the Journals Editorial and Production Departments with system-related queries.
  • Respond promptly to queries from authors and stakeholders via our ticketing system to ensure high-quality service.
  • Monitor and report on review turnaround times, standards, and survey results.
  • Provide help and advice to users of the ScholarOne platform.
  • Attend meetings with editors to demonstrate and train on online peer review platforms, both in person and via web-based training.
  • Support departmental initiatives and projects as needed.
