About our Team

Our team coordinates specialists in user experience, product management, metadata, and discovery. We ensure librarians and end users can find and access content easily wherever they start their research. We collaborate with colleagues in Product, Discovery Operations, Sales, Customer Services, Editorial, and Technology, plus global library vendors and academic search partners. Together, we improve discoverability, enhance metadata quality, and ensure our products fit fully within the wider scholarly ecosystem.

  • Proficient in metadata standards, with comprehensive insight into MARC, KBART, COUNTER, and the ways electronic resources are catalogued across discovery systems.
  • Analytical and data-driven, able to interpret usage data clearly and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • A confident collaborator with experience working effectively with vendors, partners, and cross‑functional teams.
  • A strong problem‑solver who can independently troubleshoot complex metadata and discovery issues.
  • Skilled at prioritising competing customer, user, and product needs to make persuasive, evidence‑based recommendations.
  • Curious about the library ecosystems, staying informed about discovery trends, standards, and the needs of global librarians and researchers?

Your New Role

You will promote the visibility and availability of our content within library systems and academic contexts. Your role will directly enhance the librarian experience, boost authenticated usage, and make certain that researchers identify our content before arriving at our platforms. You’ll integrate customer insight, technical expertise, and joint problem‑solving to refine our discovery ecosystem and generate future opportunities.

  • Optimising discovery channels by improving delivery, communication, and indexing workflows to increase authenticated usage and demonstrate return on investment for customers.
  • Ensuring metadata accuracy by collaborating with Discovery Operations and vendors to ensure timely, precise creation and delivery of MARC, KBART, and other metadata feeds.
  • Proactive issue prevention by identifying potential process gaps early and implementing solutions before they impact customers.
  • Coordinating academic search partnerships through leading projects with academic search engines and A&I services to increase the exposure and use of content.
  • Ensuring new products and content types launch fully discoverable and compliant by defining and validating their metadata and COUNTER requirements.
  • Ensuring access for customers by resolving advanced metadata, usage, and retrieval challenges with expert‑level troubleshooting.
  • Strengthening product and discovery strategy by analysing emerging trends and presenting clear, evidence‑based recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Improving service quality and reducing delivery issues by maintaining strong, proactive relationships with discovery partners.
