About our Team

The Institutional Revenue Manager, EMEA sits within the Library Sales Operations and Renewals team. We are a friendly, collaborative and diverse team who support, enable and extend the efficiency and effectiveness of our sales function. We focus on providing the tools and resources the business needs to excel at selling Sage products in the library market, as well as protecting and growing subscription-based revenue across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). We work closely in partnership with a wide variety of internal teams, maintaining income streams, and growing sales across a variety of digital products.

Your new role:

The Institutional Revenue Manager, EMEA is accountable for driving the retention and growth of institutional subscription revenue across the region. The role owns renewal activity for customers within EMEA markets, working closely with sales teams, circulation teams, agents, and operations to improve renewal rates, reduce revenue leakage, and identify upsell opportunities. Through a combination of data-driven insight and strong partner engagement, the role ensures timely renewals, improved forecasting accuracy, and consistent revenue performance across EMEA. The position plays a key role in strengthening coordinated renewal processes and supporting long-term customer value and continuity.

  • Own and manage the renewal pipeline for institutional subscriptions across assigned EMEA markets to deliver against agreed renewal rates, revenue retention, and upsell targets
  • Identify and mitigate renewal risks, proactively reducing attrition and revenue leakage while identifying and progressing upsell opportunities to a range of Sage's library products
  • Re-engage lapsed customers through targeted renewal strategies and commercial offers
  • Partner with agents and colleagues in sales, to drive coordinated renewal strategies while collaborating with Global Circulation to ensure alignment on renewal policy, invoicing, and access
  • Support the transition and retention of new Sage acquisitions
  • Maintain accurate renewal forecasting and pipeline visibility within CRM systems
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of renewal workflows and processes and regional methodologies

Are you someone who:

  • Has experience working with agents and/or consortia models, with knowledge of academic publishing and institutional sales cycles
  • Demonstrates strong commercial skill, with a proven track record of retaining and growing recurring revenue
  • Brings experience in renewals, account management, customer success, or sales operations within B2B, publishing, or SaaS environments
  • Has a proven ability to handle a large number of customer accounts across multiple countries
  • Possesses strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and influence decision-making
  • Communicates effectively and manages customers and internal colleagues with confidence
  • Demonstrates a high attention to detail, with strong interpersonal, organizational and pipeline management capability
  • Is proficient in CRM and reporting tools (e.g., Salesforce, MSCRM, Excel, Power BI)
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving regional environment
