As 2026 approaches, a lot of people are asking themselves the same question: “What does success look like for my career in the new year?” If you’re ambitious, driven, and ready for more responsibility — but feel stuck in roles that don’t recognise your effort — this could be the opportunity that changes your direction.
At Sage Partners, we don’t hire people to fill gaps. We develop people to build futures. We’re now recruiting for a Management Trainee role in Birmingham, designed for individuals who want more than routine, more than short-term wins, and more than being overlooked. This is a hands-on leadership development opportunity for people who want a career with momentum, structure, and long-term growth.
Why We’re Hiring: We partner with nationally recognised organisations including BT/EE, British Gas, Milk & More, and Oxfam, delivering high-impact face-to-face campaigns across the UK. Demand from our clients is growing rapidly — and so is our business. To keep pace, we’re expanding our Birmingham operation and intentionally developing the next wave of leaders from within. This role exists because we don’t believe in limiting progression or hiring management externally when we can train, support, and promote high-potential people ourselves. Our growth plans extend beyond Birmingham, with further UK expansion already underway and international markets on the horizon. That means opportunity — for the right people.
You don’t need previous management experience. What you do need is ambition, resilience, and the willingness to be coached into leadership. If you’re ready to step up rather than stand still, this is where that journey starts.
What the Role Involves: This is a hands-on role from day one, combining practical campaign work with structured leadership development.
- Working directly on face-to-face campaigns
- Learning how to lead, coach, and support a small team
- Understanding daily operations, KPIs, and performance standards
- Developing communication, confidence, and decision-making skills
- Receiving daily coaching from senior leaders
Junior Management role (progression within 4–8 months):
- Managing and developing teams of 10–15 people
- Supporting recruitment, training, and onboarding
- Analysing performance data and forecasting results
- Assisting with client reporting and campaign delivery
- Taking ownership of team outcomes
Senior Management role (progression within 8–12 months):
- Leading larger teams or divisions
- Managing client relationships and delivery expectations
- Driving growth, strategy, and operational planning
- Supporting UK expansion and future market launches
- Operating as part of the wider business leadership team
Progression is merit-based and transparent.
Who This Suits: This role is a strong fit if you:
- Want a genuine career path with clear progression
- Are motivated by responsibility and challenge
- Enjoy working with people and developing others
- Feel underutilised in your current role
- Are open to feedback, coaching, and continuous learning
Backgrounds in retail, hospitality, customer service, sport, sales, or graduate roles transfer well — but attitude matters more than experience.
What’s On Offer: Guaranteed base salary with performance incentives, ongoing training and daily mentorship, early leadership exposure and responsibility, clear progression into management, experience working with national brands, a fast-paced, growth-focused team environment, long-term career development, not a temporary position.
Looking to Start 2026 With Direction? If you’re ready to stop waiting for progression and start building it, apply now for the Management Trainee role at Sage Partners.
