Start Your Career With Sage in Birmingham City Centre (5 mins from New Street Station). Full time | Monday to Friday | 10:00am to 6:00pm | Immediate start.

The way you communicate shapes almost everything, how you come across in interviews, how you handle pressure, how people respond to your ideas. At Sage, we help people build those skills from the ground up and turn them into a career. You will learn how to hold a conversation with anyone, read what people actually need, and negotiate outcomes that work, the kind of abilities that open doors long after you have learned them. No experience needed. No degree required.

We are growing our Birmingham team following a recent client acquisition, and we are looking for someone local with real drive who is ready to learn. Bring the willingness to be coached and we will teach you the rest, with structured training and daily support from people who want to see you do well.

Why Sage is the right place to start:

  • Based right in Birmingham City Centre, five minutes from New Street, working with established clients across sales, marketing, customer acquisition and business development.
  • Investing in the people who join us.
  • Your first three to six months are built entirely around your development, with structured training and daily coaching from people who genuinely want to see you do well.

What you will learn:

  • Confident communication — how to start conversations naturally and connect with anyone, in any setting.
  • Active listening — understanding what people really mean and making them feel heard.
  • Relationship building — how trust is earned and why strong relationships drive long term success.
  • Emotional intelligence — reading people well and understanding your own style.
  • Resilience — handling pressure and setbacks without losing your confidence.
  • Persuasion and influence — presenting ideas clearly and guiding decisions, never pushy.
  • Commercial awareness — understanding how businesses actually win and keep customers.

What the role involves:

As a Trainee Negotiator, you will gradually take on responsibility for representing client campaigns, starting and managing customer conversations, understanding what people need, presenting solutions, handling questions, building trust and negotiating outcomes that work for everyone. You will have support and coaching at every step.

Where it can take you:

After your initial training, you will work towards one of two paths:

  • Sales and Negotiation — develop into a skilled Negotiator managing conversations and closing business, with a competitive base salary plus strong performance incentives and bonuses.
  • Leadership and Management — an intensive route for those who want to build and lead their own teams, developing new starters and delivering results through others. Progression here is earned through performance and consistency, never handed out for time served.

Who we are looking for:

This could be a great fit if you are:

  • Interested in communication, sales or business.
  • Comfortable meeting and speaking with new people.
  • Open to coaching and quick to apply feedback.
  • Reliable, professional and commercially minded.
  • Resilient when things get tough.
  • Motivated by real progress and results.
  • Able to work full time from our Birmingham office.

If you have come from retail, hospitality, customer service, sport, events or any people focused background, you already have more of what we are looking for than you might think.
