Sage is recruiting Junior Sales Consultants in Birmingham City Centre for individuals who are serious about building a long-term career in commercial sales. This is a structured, development-led position designed to take you from an entry-level consultant through to regional responsibility, and ultimately into a national consultant role, with each step earned on performance and supported by ongoing training.

You will represent a portfolio of established brands, including BT/EE, Eon and Mercedes, gaining hands-on commercial experience within a professional, target-driven environment.

We are looking for candidates who bring transferable skills from previous roles in sales, customer service, retail, commercial or competitive sports backgrounds, and who are ready to apply that experience within a business that invests in its people and promotes from within.

As a Junior Sales Consultant, you will work as part of an on-site team engaging with customers face to face on behalf of the brands we represent. You will develop a strong grounding in customer conversations, product knowledge, relationship building and the end-to-end sales process, with clear benchmarks to measure and reward your progress.

This role will suit candidates with a background in sales, customer service, retail, hospitality, events, call centres, promotions or competitive sport, where drive, discipline and a results focus are second nature. It is equally well suited to graduates and career changers looking for a first full-time role with a defined progression structure.

What you will be doing:

  • Approaching and engaging customers with confidence, identifying and understanding their needs, communicating products and services clearly, working towards individual and team targets, and building the commercial awareness required to progress.

You will receive structured training from the outset and consistent support from experienced consultants throughout.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with people at all levels
  • Bring transferable experience from sales, customer service, retail, commercial or sporting backgrounds
  • Are confident, self-motivated and approachable
  • Perform well in a target-driven environment
  • Are reliable, coachable and responsive to feedback
  • Work effectively as part of a team
  • Are committed to a long-term career in sales and business

What Sage offers:

  • Full training and continued development from experienced consultants
  • A clear, structured progression path from local consultant to regional and national roles
  • Guaranteed base pay, this is not a commission-only position
  • Weekly performance incentives in addition to salary
  • Monday to Friday working hours, with no weekends
  • A professional, sociable team based in the heart of the city
  • Immediate start available, with some flexibility for the right candidate

If you have the drive to progress and want a role where development, promotion and earnings are directly linked to your performance, Sage offers the structure and support to help you get there.
