Key Responsibilities What You'll Be Doing
As an Account Executive, you'll be responsible for generating and converting new commercial opportunities across a portfolio of accounting practices.

You'll engage directly with Partners, Managing Partners and senior stakeholders, helping them recognise the strategic and commercial value of digital transformation.

You'll

  • Create and develop new business opportunities within a defined portfolio of accounting practices.
  • Identify whitespace opportunities, generate demand and build a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Take ownership of revenue performance, bookings targets and territory growth.
  • Engage with senior decision-makers, influencing investment decisions and securing commitment to change.
  • Position Sage Intacct as the strategic platform for practices looking to modernise, grow and differentiate their advisory services.
  • Develop strategic account plans aligned to each practice's growth ambitions and transformation priorities.
  • Lead consultative sales conversations, uncovering business challenges and demonstrating clear commercial value.
  • Challenge existing ways of working and help customers envision a better future state.
  • Drive market engagement through networking, events, social selling and thought leadership activities.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Product, Sales Operations and Commercial teams to accelerate deal progression.
  • Maintain robust pipeline management, forecasting accuracy and sales discipline throughout the sales cycle.

What We're Looking For
We're seeking a commercially driven sales professional with a strong hunter mentality and a passion for helping customers achieve meaningful business outcomes.

You'll likely bring

  • Proven success in a business development, account executive or new business sales role.
  • A strong hunting mindset with a track record of creating opportunities from cold, dormant or underdeveloped accounts.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles and consistently achieving revenue targets.
  • The ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, including Partners, Managing Partners and C-suite leaders.
  • Strong consultative selling skills, including discovery, qualification, objection handling and value-based selling.
  • Experience leading commercial conversations around business transformation, operational improvement or technology adoption.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with an understanding of pipeline management, forecasting and revenue performance.
  • A resilient, self-motivated approach and the drive to succeed in a competitive market.
  • The ability to use data, market insights and customer intelligence to prioritise activity and identify opportunities.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the accounting profession, advisory services or financial management software.
  • An accountancy qualification or experience working within, or selling into, accounting practices.
  • Experience selling Saa S, ERP, financial management or business software solutions.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales methodologies that support pipeline and forecast management.
