Sage Homes is an innovative Blackstone and Regis business addressing the housing crisis in England by making good homes affordable for people across the country who need them.
About the role:
As a Property Manager at Sage Homes, you will oversee contract terms and quality standards across our sites, ensuring excellent service for our customers. Focusing on block management, building safety, and community engagement, you will represent Sage by monitoring quality, addressing customer issues, and collaborating with contractors and managing agents to maintain high standards in homes and communal areas. This home-based role requires regular travel to our sites across the South including West Sussex, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Dorset and Somerset, with occasional meetings in Covent Garden and Northampton offices.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Be the key relationship manager and contact for Sage's contractors, external partners and management companies who have been appointed by the developers.
- Develop and hold a detailed understanding of our contractors and management company contracts and monitor these to ensure the best possible service is delivered.
- Carry out pre-handover inspections of communal blocks before Ready to Occupy status is signed-off.
- Regularly monitor and inspect our blocks and estates across the UK, in line with the service standards set out in the management agreement whilst observing health and safety requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with resident management companies (RMC's) across the UK, meeting key members as and when required.
- Provide a flexible on-site presence, to trouble-shoot when issues occur, and where a Sage Operations representative is required to attend.
About you:
- Experience working as a Property Manager/Service Management for a Housing Association, Affordable Homes Provider or Registered Provider.
- A confident communicator, comfortable holding management companies to account and having difficult conversations whilst maintaining relationships.
- Organised and efficient with your time and self-manage, whilst being comfortable asking for help or guidance when needed.
- Pro-active and take a creative approach to relationship-building and problem solving.
- Decisive whilst working at a quick pace.
- Natural customer focus, considering it in all that you do.
- Self-assured and tenacious, following up with colleagues and/or third parties such as management companies or developers.
- Hold a full valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle suitable for business purposes.
To make sure our colleagues feel welcome and cared for, we provide a suite of excellent benefits, including:
- 25 days holiday, and an additional day for every year's service (up to five years).
- A health cash plan, with financial support for a range of options including physiotherapy, opticians, dental and private online GP sessions.
- Wellbeing support through MyndUp.
- Two days' paid volunteering leave a year, allowing you to support causes you care about.
- Charity fundraising support, with match-funding up to £1,000 for good causes.
