About The Role

Sage Homes is redefining affordable housing by putting customers at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for a Homes & Communities Officer to join our Housing Operations team and help deliver outstanding tenancy and estate management services. In this role, you will be a key point of contact for residents, supporting them to sustain tenancies, maintain safe and welcoming communities, and access the services they need. You'll manage cases end-to-end, carry out home visits, respond to housing queries, and work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure positive outcomes. You will be home-based with regular travel across Kent and occasional visits to our Covent Garden and Northampton offices.

Duties Include

  • Deliver customer-focused tenancy and estate management services
  • Support residents with housing queries, tenancy sustainment, and community engagement
  • Carry out inspections, audits, and onboarding of new sites
  • Collaborate with teams to manage safety, compliance, and service delivery
  • Advocate for residents and escalate issues where needed
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to service improvements

About You

  • Experience in housing management (Housing Association or Registered Provider)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive, empathetic approach to customer service
  • Willingness to learn property management if you have no prior experience
  • CIH/IRPM qualification or equivalent experience
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle suitable for business purposes

Join us in shaping communities where people feel safe, supported, and proud to live. We are committed to ensuring you have the best career here at Sage. As well as regular support and guidance from your manager you can expect to receive a variety of learning and development opportunities to support you as you grow within our business. This includes internally and externally delivered development programmes and opportunities to study for professional accreditations and qualifications.

To make sure our colleagues feel welcome and cared for, we provide a suite of excellent benefits, including:

  • 25 days holiday, and an additional day for every year's service (up to five years)
  • Annual discretionary bonus scheme
  • A health cash plan, with financial support for a range of options including physiotherapy, opticians, dental and private online GP sessions
  • Study support package, helping you achieve your personal and professional development ambitions
  • Workplace Pension - matching personal contributions up to 5%
  • Cycle to Work scheme, helping you save up to 40% on a new bike and accessories
  • Electric car scheme, enabling you to rent a brand-new electric car at low-cost payments
  • Wellbeing support through MyndUp
  • Two days' paid volunteering leave a year, allowing you to support causes you care about
  • Charity fundraising support, with match-funding up to £1,000 for good causes
