Pay Rate: Range $1800 to $1950 weekly Gross pay (Non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)
Unit: Surgical, OR
Shift: 12 Hours; Days, 6.30a-7.00p
Schedule: 36 hours / week guaranteed, Any 3 shifts per week including weekends. Oncall requirement - 3-4 on-call days per month
Position Requirements
- Certified Surgical Technologistexperience: 2 years - Required
- Prior travel experience - Highly Preferred
Education, License and Certification Requirements
- Graduate of a surgical technology program accredited through ARC/STA
- NBSTS A Certification - Required
- AHA BLS Certification - Required
Job Description
- Responsible for providing safe and effective patient care.
- Works under the direction of the RN, assisting in nursing care and preparation of surgical patient by performance of routine or delegated duties.
- Responsible for proper room set up, proficient in sterile technique, sets up sterile field with proper instrumentation related to the procedure, assists the surgeon during the case, counts sponges, sharps and instruments in accordance with policy.
- Assists with room turnover in an efficient manner at the end of all cases.
- This position will demonstrate competency in the care of patients of all age groups.
- Must be able to take call and/or work weekends as needed.
