This role is part of the Record to Report (R2R) team within Sage's European Finance Shared Service Centre, with a primary focus on fixed asset accounting and financial reporting. You'll help ensure accurate accounting, strong financial controls and timely month-end reporting, while working closely with finance colleagues across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with shared services experience looking to develop their accounting career in a supportive, collaborative environment.

What I will be doing

  • You'll manage fixed asset accounting, ensuring assets are capitalised correctly and in line with Group accounting policies.
  • You'll prepare balance sheet reconciliations, supporting schedules, journal entries and month-end reporting, helping maintain accurate financial records and strong financial controls.
  • You'll work closely with Performance Reporting teams and business partners to resolve queries, support annual statutory accounts and contribute to both internal and external audits.
  • The role also includes participating in ad hoc finance projects and identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, increase efficiency and strengthen collaboration across the wider finance function.

We're looking for someone with experience working in a finance or shared services environment who has a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. You should be highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working to deadlines while managing multiple priorities.

Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills are essential, along with excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-focused approach. Experience using ERP systems, particularly Sage X3, and working to service level agreements would be beneficial. An AAT qualification or a desire to study towards a professional accounting qualification would also be an advantage.

This role is an ideal platform for someone used to working in a shared service centre environment who would like to gain further experience in accounting in a supportive environment and develop their long-term career at Sage.
