We are currently seeking a Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and growth of our market-leading Embedded Accounting stream. The Embedded Accounting stream extends the vision of our accounting platform by connecting accountants, clients, and financial institutions to promote better banking habits, improve bookkeeping efficiency, and simplify compliance for small and new businesses. As a Product Manager at Sage, you will define and deliver the roadmap to achieve these goals, collaborating closely with partners such as banks and fintechs, as well as with internal Embedded Services and MTD teams.
Please note that this role is hybrid and will require you to work 3 days a week from our Newcastle office.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the Embedded Accounting roadmap, aligning with the MTD for Income Tax and Embedded Services strategies.
- Champion and deliver core use cases, including encouraging better banking habits by helping accountants guide clients toward dedicated business accounts and smarter transaction categorization / reconciliation.
- Support sole traders by designing simple, efficient bookkeeping and data-sharing experiences that ease self-assessment and future MTD compliance.
- Design seamless onboarding journeys that foster good financial habits, collaborating with Embedded Services, Banking, and MTD teams for integrated experiences.
- Work with Commercial, Marketing, and GTM teams on launch materials and enablement, clearly sharing product vision, success metrics, and milestones with stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Product Manager in SaaS or B2B software; experience with accounting or payroll products is a plus.
- Background in defining global product strategies and managing roadmaps from ideation to launch.
- Experience conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify unmet needs, trends, and strategic opportunities.
- Familiarity with AI-driven solutions is a plus.
- Strong understanding of technical processes, such as APIs.
