My Care My Home have exciting opportunities within the Monmouthshire area for Community Support Workers. These areas include – Monmouth, Abergavenny, Usk and Raglan.
You will be working as part of our knowledgeable and passionate team providing an essential role within our outcome focused services, delivering care to elderly and vulnerable adults within their own homes.
We have a variety of hours available to suit your lifestyle (days, evenings, and weekends); with working patterns between the times of 7.00am-3.00pm and 3.00pm-10.00pm. Depending on your availability, we are flexible and can offer part-time and full-time contracts to suit your needs, with the option of extra bank hours. We now offer the option to be paid weekly or monthly.
This is a domiciliary care role, which may include sits; you will make calls to service users throughout your shift and you must be prepared to travel within the service catchment area and work every other weekend or 1 day each weekend. A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle with 'business use' car insurance is essential to undertake this role. No experience is required. Full training will be provided.
Duties include:
- Prompting/support with personal care and dressing (which could include assistance with intimate personal care).
- Support with light household duties, including laundry, shopping and cleaning, meal preparation.
- Assisting with medication – this could be collecting prescriptions, prompting, or administering medication.
- Accompanying to medical appointments if needed.
What We Can Offer You:
- £13.45 per hour, to include weekends.
- A weekend shift allowance of £10.00 per day.
- Mileage allowance 45p per mile; you will then qualify for a fuel card – no need to use your own money to put petrol/diesel in your car to complete care visits.
- Travel time allowance of £12.71 per hour for continuous calls from one service user to another.
