We have a head office based in Derby and are dedicated to offering a high quality, efficient and effective service whilst remaining supportive and accessible.
Summary of the role
We are currently recruiting freelance examiners to mark the AIM Set Project for our Level 3 in Technical Occupational Entry for Teaching Assistants focusing on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (Diploma) externally marked assessment. The qualification has two externally marked assessment series per academic year.
The AIM Set Project assesses knowledge and understanding of factors influencing children and young people\\\'s development, monitoring development, and how children and young people can be supported in an educational setting by both education staff and those working in other sectors. The AIM set project will be issued to centres via the AIM secure portal at the beginning of January and June each year and the marking period will commence not long after each assessment has passed.
There is a requirement to attend mandatory training and standardisation days as required.
Who are we looking for?
- You will need to mark accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained
- You will be required to submit samples to AIM at designated times
- You will need to ensure milestones for marking are adhered to
- You will work accurately and consistently, and at times to tight timescales
- You will ensure all administration is completed as specified
Skills and experience required
- You must hold a teaching or training qualification such as a level 3, 4 or 5 education and training qualification, PTLLS (or equivalent).
- You will have substantial experience of working in the Special Educational Needs sector.
- You will have experience of external assessment marking (Desirable).
