Job Type: Full-time | On-site
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join our accounts department at our Head Office in East Grinstead, West Sussex. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both finance and accounting functions within a supportive and growing team.
Responsibilities
- Process and administer incoming payments from various sources
- Take customer payments over the phone
- Provide support with credit control and monthly payment processing
- Assist with processing and verifying payable and purchase invoices
- Support bookkeeping tasks and data entry
- Process expense claims accurately and in a timely manner
- Scan, file, and manage accounts documents
- Assist the accounts team with general administrative duties as required
Qualifications
- 1–2 years’ experience in a similar finance or accounts role
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping, accounts payable, and credit control principles
- Strong numerical and data entry skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent English communication skills and telephone manners
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- Highly organised, responsible, and a team player
- Advantageous: Fluency in Italian and/or Russian
- Interest in finance/accounting (e.g. working towards an AAT qualification is a plus)
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in a relevant role
- Work authorisation: Must have the right to work in the UK
- Location: This role is office-based in East Grinstead (no remote working)
