WORK LOCATION: We welcome applications from drivers based in and around the surrounding areas Bedfordshire.
Pay Rate: £13.00 - £13.67 per hour plus 25p mileage. Hertfordshire Pay Rate £14.44 - £15.44 per hour plus 25p mileage.
Shifts: Work across seven days a week, EVENING – 2:00 pm – 10:00/11:00 pm.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Supporting clients to live safer and supported lives in their own homes.
- Following individual care plans and assisting with personal care, helping clients to bathe, dress, manage incontinence, use the toilet, and supporting them with their medication.
- Helping with practical tasks like shopping, mealtimes, and housework.
- Assisting with domestic tasks such as making and changing beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, laundry, and emptying commodes.
- Helping clients overcome mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including the use of aids/adaptations and personal equipment.
- Providing companionship to prevent loneliness through engaging conversations, activities, and outings.
- Managing medication by collecting prescriptions, providing reminders, and assisting with administration as per care plan guidelines.
- Preparing nutritious meals considering dietary requirements and preferences, and assisting with feeding when necessary.
- Observing and reporting changes in the client's physical or mental condition to healthcare professionals and family members.
- Encouraging participation in community activities and maintaining connections with family and friends.
- Providing emotional support to clients experiencing anxiety, loneliness, or distress.
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided, incidents, and any changes in the client's condition.
- Ensuring a safe living environment, recognising potential hazards, and responding appropriately to emergencies.
- Working effectively with other care team members, healthcare professionals, and family members to ensure comprehensive and consistent care.
