Responsibilities

  • Overall responsible for effective cost planning and budget estimates
  • Taking-off quantities, sourcing of sub-contractors & suppliers, pricing and preparation of tender submission
  • Preparation on monthly progress claim to clients consultants for certification
  • Submission of claim for variation works
  • Evaluate subcontractor monthly progress claims
  • Prepare variation orders, progress payments & claims and finalization of accounts
  • Evaluate progress payment and review terms and conditions of contracts
  • Source for quotations from specialists, sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Review and advise Project Manager on the cost impact for variation of project specifications
  • Monitor project delivery to ensure materials are in accordance to contractual terms and conditions
  • To co-ordinate with the clients, sub-contractors and consultants on all project matters
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering/ Quantity Surveyor /Architectural, Building Construction Management or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of working experience in Construction industry
  • Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Quantity Surveying, Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent
  • Able to communicate effectively in English & Mandarin (to liaise with Mandarin speaking clients and associates)
  • Be meticulous, independent, highly motivated and a good team player
  • Be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • 5 days’ work week (plus first Saturday of each month)
  • Able to start work immediately or within short notice
