Our Product Operations team is seeking a new Product Executive. In this role you will respond to questions from the Travel Sales team about our worldwide touring products and be the line of communication to our overseas agents for travel, accommodation or touring excursions questions. This role would be ideal for someone who has worked as a tour operator previously or has experience offering worldwide bespoke tailor-made tours.
Role Responsibility
- Be the main point of contact for day-to-day queries from the business, and become a ‘knowledge champion’ for our products, destinations, and holiday types, enabling you to respond with swift decisions and answers.
- Make sure all our touring products are set and ready for our clients to enjoy; all the i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed.
- Form really strong, persuasive working relationships with our suppliers, to ensure we are getting the very best service and support from them at all times.
- Be part of the contracting process, negotiating with all suppliers to meet target net rates, and making informed recommendations to the Product Manager as required.
- Monitor and resolve operational issues as they arise, collaborating with relevant teams to maintain smooth business operations.
- Work closely with colleagues around the business; from the Contact Centre and Marketing to Destination Services and Finance – communicating updates and changes as required.
- Be ready to respond to any quality issues, liaising with suppliers and our Customer Service teams.
- Work closely with the Product Managers to develop new tours and research ideas that will excite our customers.
- Represent the company at trade shows, corporate functions, and occasional overseas trips.
- Motivate and support the other members of the Product team.
The Ideal Candidate
- Be a highly skilled communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Worked in a similar role for a Tour Operator who offers worldwide bespoke, tailor-made tours.
- IT literate across MS Office suite.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills and be commercially aware.
- Have a customer-centered approach and an understanding of customers’ expectations.
- Committed to quality of experience, service, and the customer journey.
- Highly organised and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced business environment.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and flexible.
- Ambitious and keen to develop both within the role and the wider business.
Desirable:
- Previously used Tigerbay and have prior knowledge of our touring products.
- Experienced in negotiating rates with suppliers.
