Hybrid - London
Saga is seeking an experienced and strategic Email Marketing Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of data-driven, automated email campaigns across our Saga Money portfolio. This role is perfect for someone who blends experience in campaign planning and optimisation (CRM) with hands-on experience using Adobe Campaign, and other Adobe modules to create and deliver effective data driven, trigger based, automated CRM journeys. This is a key role in the successful delivery of Saga’s strategy and in meeting ambitious growth plans for Saga Personal Finance.
We work in a hybrid way at Saga both at home and in the office. In this team we work mainly from London and tend to have a pattern of at least twice a month in the office. There may also be occasional travel to our Folkestone office. When we do come together as a team, it allows us to grow and learn plus it is a great opportunity to socialise and celebrate too!
Role Responsibility
- Support the design and delivery of e-mail campaigns for Saga Money (to introduce Saga Money solutions to existing and prospective Saga customers).
- Develop, deliver, and manage email marketing campaigns using Adobe Campaign, ensuring campaigns are automated, optimised, and data-driven.
- Build trigger-based email journeys and customer lifecycle workflows, integrating data points for timely and effective communications – including nurture and nudge communications, journey abandonment journeys, and more.
- Work closely with the Marketing Acquisition Lead to design and execute CRM and retention strategies.
- Ensure end-to-end campaign execution from creative concepts, briefing, audience selection and creative build to deployment and performance tracking with Adobe campaign/analytics.
- The ability to build sophisticated workflows in Adobe Campaign, including audience segmentation, data interpretation, complex queries, integration with other data sets etc.
- Analyse campaign performance using tools like Adobe Analytics, reporting on key metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates that will inform future recommendations on contact strategy.
- Utilise Adobe Target (if applicable) to conduct A/B tests and optimise customer engagement.
- Ensure marketing automation processes align with data governance, compliance, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including data analysts, and the wider CRM community, to ensure campaigns align with broader marketing goals and are consistent with the wider group contact strategy.
- As the go-to email and adobe campaign expert within the marketing team, ensure campaigns are carried out to a high standard and delivered on time.
- This includes adhering to best practice when it comes to e-mail marketing, a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (ICO, GDPR, PECR) to ensure communications are compliant with all requirements, including the Financial Conduct Authority.
- Proactively working with the wider Saga Money team, wider Marketing Community, and Group Data teams to share learnings, ensure best practice is being applied, with a focus on constant improvement & problem solving.
The Ideal Candidate
- At least 3 years’ experience of Adobe Campaigns (desirable).
- Proven track record at working with Adobe Campaign to a highly proficient level.
- Proven experience in creating and deploying Adobe Campaign activity - Adobe Campaign & Analytics.
- Track record of performance and delivery in a D2C e-mail marketing role, covering the full end to end life cycle of a campaign, from idea to execution to evaluation.
- Proven ability to work with new and emerging technologies to deliver change and improvement.
- Self-sufficient and able to work independently and reliably at a pace.
- A flexible approach with a willingness to accept additional responsibilities.
- Highly numerate with an exceptional eye for detail and accuracy, with a good understanding of data and how to harness it to optimise marketing KPIs.
- Able to create the new, rather than adapt the existing, particularly when it comes to designing and creating customer journeys.
- Proficient in HTML, and/or knowledge of tools like Dreamweaver.
- Able to balance multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously – highly organised with great time management.
