Working as a Treasury Analyst here at Saga you will be key to looking after the financial health of our organisation by mitigating risks, keeping assets safe and returns optimised. It is truly a very critical role sitting in the fast-paced operation of Treasury and is a central point of contact of a small dynamic team.
Our Treasury department manages the Groups cash, debt, currency and commodity hedges and investment strategy. We are an Enterprise function and have internal stakeholders across the Group and external stakeholders including lenders and auditors.
We work in a hybrid way at Saga both at home and in the office. The Treasury Team work from Folkestone up to twice a week. We also occasionally meet in the London office.

Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver a professional, high quality, reliable and efficient service to colleagues primarily within the Saga Finance and Group Professional Services community, but also to Saga colleagues in other teams, acting as a knowledgeable point of contact for all Treasury-related issues and queries.
- Management of Enterprise-wide cash balances each day such that there are no overdrawn balances and that surplus funds are invested in line with policy, ensuring regulatory capital is ringfenced where required.
- Maintain the day-to-day liquidity forecasting, ensuring that we have a rolling three-month view of expected cash and credit facility utilisation, providing regular updates to senior colleagues on the cash position and expected headroom.
- Assist with implementing process improvement and automation of daily processes, especially cash management, working with the finance transformation team to drive forward change and extracting additional value from existing portals and systems.
- FX settlement on behalf of the Travel businesses, in line with Group policy, including coordination of weekly requirements and monthly reporting.
- Preparation and processing of manual payments, where required, and coordinating the authorisation process.
- Leading online banking and portal administration and maintenance of user and contact lists.
- Ownership of bank mandates, coordinating changes with the Company Secretarial Team and various banks, including maintenance of a master database.
- Prepare monthly reporting for both cash and the debt facilities under Treasury management. Additionally, preparation of monthly reports on FX, interest, and forward rates and supporting colleagues with ad hoc market data requests.
- Acting as a key point of contact for our banking and other partners, including responsibility for KYC requests.
- Management of the Treasury inbox, providing appropriate responses in a timely manner.
- Support ad hoc projects and tasks as required.

- Strong communication skills are essential, being one of the primary points of contact within a small team and communicating directly with internal and external stakeholders.
- Sense of urgency, with the ability to role-model the Saga value of Make it happen.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Accuracy and the ability to self-review is key, given the exposure to material transactions and executing foreign exchange trades with banks.
- Identification of training needs to resolve gaps in knowledge and skills.
- Have a historical treasury, economics, or accounting background.
- Familiarity with banking and payment mechanisms beneficial.
- Forecasting experience beneficial, including variance analysis to improve forecasting accuracy.
- Desirable; Refinitiv Eikon or Bloomberg (particularly within Microsoft Excel).
