As an Assistant Principal Analysis Engineer, you will be required to propose efficient solutions to design & analytical problems to achieve business objectives. Safran Landing Systems are a global leader in aircraft landing & braking systems, from commercial and business travel to military and defence fleets.
We are looking for passionate individuals to join our Research, Design and Development team as an Assistant Principal Analysis Engineer at our Gloucester site. Our expertise covers the entire life cycle of our products from end-to-end; Design, Engineering & Manufacturing, through to Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO).
Your Role:
- Ensure technical quality of Work package activities, act as an Analysis Technical Focal and mentor, check and approve technical deliverables and support the creation, progression and usage of new analysis methods & tools.
- Showing practical proficiency in a technical engineering discipline.
- Interfacing with other areas of the business where necessary: Chief Engineers, Programmes, Test Engineering, Manufacturing etc.
- Coaching engineers in theoretical and 'real life' best practices.
- Representing Safran LS as a technical focal, influencing technical decisions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Producing high quality technical reports and analyses, within budget and deadlines.
- Reviewing, challenging and approving technical deliverables.
- Mentoring and developing less experienced engineers.
- Participate in technical audits & reviews.
- Supporting the development and improvement of analysis methods and tools.
- Comply with industry standards, regulations & qualification requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of HNC/HND level, but ideally BSc/MSc, in an engineering discipline.
- Experience of working with recognised FEA software tools.
- Classical Static and Fatigue analysis experience.
- Experience with physical testing planning and designing.
- Ability to propose efficient pragmatic solutions to analytical problems.
