The UK Safran Electrical & Power team has expertise in designing and developing electrical systems comprising generators, power conversion, distribution and control, with developing expertise in electric motors for aircraft propulsion. As an Engineering Test & Facilities Lead at Safran Electrical & Power, you will manage the engineering test facility onsite, working with the latest in aerospace technology to plan, organise and execute testing to support the development and qualification tests performed on Safran products. You will ensure the successful delivery of work packages for machine and drive systems test cells activities, and define the overall test cells testing schedule for all programs on site. You will lead the team in supporting maintenance of the current and future environmental and vibration test capabilities, ensuring the team is always a step ahead with innovative testing processes and systems.

The Role

  • Manage the test cells team and the engineering test facility, ensuring smooth execution of development and qualification tests on products.
  • Support the definition and flow down of business objectives, policies, and procedures, monitoring and taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Establish processes specific to test cell activities, ensuring adherence by the team.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and develop the test cells to support current and future products.
  • Lead the team in supporting maintenance of test capabilities, fostering innovation in testing processes.
  • Ensure the technical quality of all deliverables from the test cells team.
  • Act as the bridge between the Validation & Verification team and test teams in engineering.
  • Plan verification phases with the Validation & Verification Engineering team, creating robust plans to meet project timelines and budgets.
  • Manage workload distribution and monitor objectives, supporting work packages across Safran entities.
