The ISMS Officer/Lead will support the ISMS Project Manager in the implementation and management of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) across Safran Seats sites. This includes assisting in the preparation of ISMS processes, methods, and tools to ensure compliance with the new EASA Part-IS regulation. The Part-IS requirements apply to all Safran Seats functions, including Engineering, Production, Aftermarket, IT, HR, Supply Chain and Quality.
You will work closely with representatives across these functions to analyse existing processes, identify gaps, and develop new methods and processes demonstrating compliance with applicable Part-IS requirements. These processes will be compiled or cross-referenced within the ISMM, which serves as the documented evidence of Part-IS compliance and the operational handbook for the ISMS.
Pre-ISMS Deployment
- Assist the ISMS Project Manager in compiling and modifying existing processes
- Study current processes and propose modifications to align with ISMS requirements
- Support development of the Information Security Management Manual (ISMM)
- Help document IS risks and their impact on aviation safety
- Support internal and external audits
Ongoing Role Post-Deployment
- Act as the UK representative for the ISMS organisation, supporting day-to-day ISMS management
- Ensure compliance with ISMS processes at Safran Seats UK sites (Brackley, Cwmbran, Newport)
- Assist in continuous improvement of ISMS processes
- Support communication, training and staff awareness initiatives
- Help manage IS risks and coordinate with Safran IS-IT teams to develop tools and solutions
- Perform additional tasks as defined by the ISMM and its evolution
What You'll Bring
- Essential Degree in Electrical/Electronics, IT, Computer Science or related field with strong understanding of Information Systems
- Minimum 3 years' experience in aviation or another industry with stringent safety requirements
- Experience in risk identification, analysis and risk treatment
- Basic understanding of aviation regulations and requirements
- Awareness of EASA standards/regulations related to Part 21 and/or Part 145
- Understanding of organisational processes, methods and tools
- Proficient communication and coordination skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good problem-solving and organisational skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
Desirable
- Knowledge of Safran Seats DOA, POA or MOA processes
- Knowledge of IS regulations from EASA/UK CAA
- Basic understanding of Cyber Security, IT-IS and its importance in aviation
- Familiarity with ISO27001 and NIST Cybersecurity Framework
